Description

In this episode of Narcissist Apocalypse, Courage shares the story of her 6-month relationship that ended in absolute horror. Courage met the man of her dreams, and within weeks they were discussing marriage. She was so happy. However, soon after the marriage talk, Courage's ex got jealous and controlling. He began to isolate Courage from friends and family, and once the isolation was complete, the physical abuse escalated and Courage did what she had to do to survive.

It's a story of sexual abuse, sexual coercion, sexual assault, suicide, suicidal ideation, physical abuse, depression, anxiety, feeling alone, objectification, jealousy, control, fear of abandonment, modesty standards, interrogation, rage, using exes as weapons, using trauma as weapons, self gaslighting, isolation, proving yourself, intimidation, insecurity reversal of caretaking, belittling, guilt, fear of saying no, silent treatment, dissociative amnesia, and identity issues.

I want to share that playing tetris immediately after a traumatic event like courage experienced actually helps your brain recover from the shock and it's suppose to be easier to handle. something about the simple focus giving your brain something to calm down- there's a study of it somewhere. I try to tell everyone incase it helps someone🖤
